The hotel is really in a nice location if you want to go on excursions to Saxon Switzerland. Our room was very spacious and the large window front with a beautiful view of the garden was fantastic. The room was generally very clean, but the toilet bowl had a strong urine odor. That should be checked. The bathroom was very small and cramped. But we liked the comfortable bed. For the room price we would have liked more variation at the breakfast buffet, especially with fresh fruit. Otherwise, the staff was always friendly and helpful. We wish you a lot of strength in these difficult times!

A restaurant lives from good cuisine and service that puts body and soul into service. We experienced and enjoyed both. We stayed here one night as part of a hike on the Malerweg. The hotel was by far the best on our way. It makes you want to stay a few more nights here. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The food was just great. Keep it up and highly recommended.

We stayed at the hotel for several days at the beginning of September. A very clean hotel! The category C hotel room was big enough and the shower room was good. Since we were traveling by motorcycle, we were given a garage free of charge! The staff was very friendly and the food in the evening was delicious and varied. Unfortunately there is a point deduction for breakfast. I would have liked a little more variety. But all in all, this hotel is highly recommended. We will definitely go there again.

Very nice hotel with good breakfast and comfortable beds. The hotel is in a quiet location. The staff was very nice and friendly. After a long hike you can eat and chill very well in the beer garden. I liked that very much ! Can only be recommended!

Very clean. The staff were all very helpful and extremely friendly. The restaurant was only open to house guests because of Corona. The food we got as house guests was very good and the service from a warm friendliness. Unfortunately, due to a thunderstorm, we could only use the very large outdoor terrace for breakfast in the morning. Also very good.

For our short vacation in Saxon Switzerland we were looking for a centrally located hotel. The Margaretenhof is a good starting point for hikes. We were greeted warmly. We were able to take care of the paperwork in the room and hand it in later. Although the room was not overly large, it was still cozy. We had a nice view of the Pfaffenstein. The hotel is rustic, rustic and comfortably furnished. We would particularly like to highlight the staff. Always friendly, always careful. Compared to other hotels we have already experienced a culture shock. The evening meal and breakfast were also very well organized and tasted excellent. If we want to go on a short vacation in Saxon Switzerland again, the hotel is at the top of our list.

Nice place that gave us a pleasant surprise during our hike of the Malerweg. They have a very nice Spa area with IR, finish, steam and normal saunas. The room was big enough to hold 2 people and luggage comfortably and even had a small balcony for two. Wifi was mostly ok. Breakfast buffet was typical German (bread, rolls, sausages, eggs, spreads) but quite good. We also had dinner the evening of arrival. I would say that was solid, hearty German cuisine. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in an idyllic park-like setting. The terrace is spacious. The dining room inside is bright and has enough space. The furniture is rustic. The rooms are quite redesigned (ours had a balcony). The screen is conveniently placed so that you can look from the bed without dislocating. Since we had hiking and motorcycle things as well as normal clothing with us, the storage space was a little too small. You can't get pregnant in the bathroom 😉. Everything but very clean! Sufficient parking spaces are available. We could park our motorbikes in one of the many garages for free. Bikers are welcome. The house technician also gives insider tips! The quality of the food is excellent and regional specialties are often served. The guest can choose between 3 dishes. The breakfast buffet is varied and varied. There's something for everyone. The wait staff are extremely attentive and work very professionally. We were quickly addressed by our name, which I give credit to the many guests. The boss couldn't score with us with her way of working and her behavior. Already in the morning it spread hectic by quickly walking back and forth and spoiled the cozy atmosphere with loud clatter of dishes and cupboard doors. She even didn't let her vacuum cleaner rest during breakfast time. Since she was only present on the day of our departure, we clearly noticed the difference. Therefore only 4 stars!

Restaurant visit for lunch. Nice map, cozy atmosphere in a well-kept hotel in an idyllic location. Very very friendly service and very good food (in generous portioning). Really a great trip tip and certainly a warm and well equipped hotel. Conclusion: absolutely again!
